When customers choose linear motor modules, they usually pay close attention to three parameters: positioning accuracy, repeat positioning accuracy, and. Do you understand these three important parameters? What is the relationship between them?
In fact, positioning accuracy, repeat positioning accuracy, and resolution are interrelated.
Position accuracy refers to the error between the program-specified movement amount and the actual movement amount. For example, if a single-axis linear motor module moves 100, but it actually moves 100.01mm, the extra 0.01mm is the positioning accuracy. Repeat positioning accuracy refers to the in work precision between each reciprocating cycle on the ideal value of positioning accuracy. For example, if a single-axis linear motor module moves 200mm and the first time it actually moves to 200.01mm, and then it moves to 199.99mm after repeating the action, the error between them 200.01-199.99=0.02mm is the repeat positioning accuracy, which is usually expressed as ±0.01mm. In general, the repeat positioning accuracy is much higher than the positioning accuracy, such as 2 to 3 times, it usually does not exceed 10 times, while the positioning accuracy is between the resolution and the repeat positioning accuracy.
Resolution refers to the smallest motion step that the system can produce, and the minimum distance that the system can move when it issues a pulse. The resolution of the system not only depends on the resolution of the feedback (such as the grating ruler), but also is related to the transmission system. The linear motor module adopts "zero clearance" direct drive, which makes the system close to the resolution of the feedback system.
