VCAs, are devices that convert electrical energy into a mechanical force. They movements can be of either linear or limited angle rotary motion. VCAs utilize the interaction of powerful magnetic fields from permanent magnets and the coils of current carrying conductors to produce a force over a limited motion range. The Linear Actuators can produce forces that can exceed 5000 Newtons and strokes are available up to 300 mm.
Rotary Actuator can product torques greater than 50 N-m and stroke angles greater than 120 degrees.
TM motion's "U-type" and "flat" brushless linear servomotors have proven ideal for robots, actuators, tables/stages, fiberoptics/photonics alignment and positioning, assembly, machine tools, semiconductor equipment, electronic manufacturing, vision systems, and in many other industrial automation applications.
TM motion's linear motor products are direct drive and consist of a noncontacting forcer and "U-type" or "flat" rare-earth magnet track. This design eliminates backlash, windup, wear, and maintenance issues associated with ball screw, belt, and rack and pinion based motion control and positioning systems.
The noncontact design of the forcer and magnet track results in a maintenance-free system. TM motion manufactures a complete line of linear motors to meet the needs of your industrial automation application.
