1. Flat type
Linear motors can be seen as evolved from rotating motors. The flat type linear induction motor has a primary side only on one side of the secondary side, and this type is called a unilateral type. The primary winding can be single-phase, two-phase, three-phase or multi-phase. 2. Cylindrical (tube type)

3. Disc type
Disc type linear induction motor.
